Admission Process
M.Tech Admission Process for Working Professionals
M.Tech admission for working professionals is handled by individual institutions and departments. There is no single national application form for every part-time or sponsored M.Tech. Start with the current 2026–27 admission notice for the institute and branch you want.
Steps to apply
- Shortlist programmes. Compare the specialisation, campus, part-time schedule, lab requirements and available seats.
- Check eligibility. Confirm the accepted bachelor’s degree, minimum marks, work-experience rule and entrance test or interview.
- Arrange employer documents. Obtain an NOC, sponsorship letter or permission for class attendance if required.
- Submit the application. Upload marksheets, degree certificate, experience proof, test scores and other listed documents before the deadline.
- Complete selection. Attend the department test or interview and respond to any document verification request.
- Review the offer. Check the fee schedule, start date, attendance rules and refund terms before accepting.
Application windows and processes can change during the year. DIAT posts separate working-professional M.Tech bulletins, and GGU publishes its own 2026–27 working-professional admission notices. Check the official DIAT admissions page or GGU admission notice board as examples of institution-specific announcements.
Does every applicant need GATE?
No single test rule applies to every programme. Some departments use GATE scores, while others may conduct their own written test, interview or selection process. Confirm which score and score-validity period the current brochure accepts.
Before accepting an M.Tech offer
Check that the programme is being offered by the institution and campus named in the offer. Confirm how classes, laboratories and examinations are delivered, whether physical attendance is required, and how the institute handles project work and degree completion. Verify applicable approvals and recognition for the relevant academic session before paying fees.
